Calls have been made for urgent action to repopulate rural Clare amid claims that parts of the county is dead.
Independent Councillor James Breen is concerned that the recently launched Rural Development Strategy for Clare won’t work unless people have an incentive to live in remote areas.
The 10-year plan aims to inject some life back into rural parts of this county through a number of initiatives, including the creation of 4,000 jobs.
