Claims Ongoing Geopolitical Conflicts Contributing To Increase In Clare’s Solar Energy Usage

New data from the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland show a 21% increase last year in solar panel installations with grant support while 948 installations were completed across the county in 2024.

Gas prices have doubled since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and Ireland’s heavy reliance on natural gas for electricity generation has lead to some of the highest energy bills in Europe.
