Claims Failure To Provide Ennis-Clarecastle Bus Would Be Missed Opportunity

It's claimed the failure to provide an Ennis to Clarecastle bus route would be a missed opportunity. 

A meeting of the Ennis Municipal District has heard that the proposed route could be worth up to 200,000 euro, with a potential 3000 people using the service.

A feasibility study has been carried out and Director of Services Ger Dollard told the meeting the Council would be happy to engage with any operators who express an interest in running a bus. 

Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn, who raised the issue at the meeting, has been telling Clare FM's Gavin Grace that similar routes have been succesful in other parts of the country.
