It’s claimed the deployment of additional ambulance staff across Clare is ‘moving in the right direction’.
It follows a question posed at the most recent Regional Health Forum Midwest meeting which requested an update on the additional ambulance resources announced for the region in March.

27 additional staff were pledged to this county, with HSE Midwest confirming that it’s progressing with filling these posts on a phased basis due to recruitment challenges.
Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor, Rita McInerney, says the outlook is positive despite recruitment not being fully completed yet.
