A West Clare Councillor claims over-80s in the area have been delayed in getting their COVID-19 vaccines due to their GP being on long term leave.
It’s understood patients in the region are being dealt with by a succession of locums on an ongoing basis while their permanent practitioner remains absent.

Kilkee-based Councillor Cillian Murphy says number of elderly West Clare residents have ‘slipped through the cracks’ as a result, though all have now received the jab.
The Fianna Fail representative wants the HSE to put an alternative system in place to ensure it does not happen to others as the vaccine is rolled out in the wider community.
