Claims Allowing IPAS Residents To Work After Two Months “Could Boost Clare Economy”

It’s claimed Clare’s economy would receive a welcome boost by reducing the minimum waiting time for Asylum Seekers to work in this country.

It comes as cabinet is set to discuss measures that would allow International Protection Applicants to work after two months of residency in Ireland, rather than the current six months.

At the end of last month, there were 744 people living in IPAS centres across this county.
