The traditional Christmas Day Swims across the county to raise money for local charities have fallen victim to the cold snap and treacherous road conditions.

The Kildysart swim which was due to go ahead at 12 noon at Gortglass Lake was cancelled as was the Killaloe swim at Two Mile Gate
The Lahinch Christmas Day swim was also cancelled and will now take place next Sunday at 12
