A young girl’s said to be in a stable condition in hospital after being hit by a train in County Tipperary last night.

The train was travelling from Limerick Junction to Waterford when it hit the child who had made her way onto the track near Tipperary town.
The girl, who’s believed to be around 8-years-old was taken to hospital in Clonmel for treatment.
Gardaí, Iranrod Eireann and the Rail Accident Investigation Unit have all launched inquiries into the circumstances of the incident.
