The "Check It Fits" roadshow, a joint initiative between Clare County Council and The Road Safety Authority, is taking place at venues across the county this week.

The free events kick off at Queally's Supervalu, Kilrush from 10am this morning, followed by the Skycourt Shopping Centre in Shannon tomorrow, and Cummins Toyota in Ennis on Thursday.

Figures from the Road Safety Authority show that as many as 4 out of 5 child car seats in Clare may not be fitted correctly.
