Chief Superintendent Insists No Credible Shannon Terror Threat

The Head of the Clare Garda Division is reassuring that there’s no credible threat against Shannon Airport in the wake of the Manchester terror attack.

It follows Monday night’s attack outside an Ariana Grandé concert, which killed 22 people and injured 59 others.

Outgoing Taoiseach Enda Kenny’s told the Dáil that the threat level in this country remains at “moderate” – which means an attack is possible but not likely.
