Chartered Accountants to unveil plan to boost business

A new initiative aimed at boosting foreign direct investment in Ireland will be launched later this morning.

Chartered Accountants Ireland, which is holding its annual conference today, is behind the plan.

Through its F-D-I initiative, the group aims to use its 20-thousand strong network of members here and abroad, to act as ambassadors for the country.

It’s hoped Chartered Accountants Ireland’s 4-thousand members, who are currently working abroad, can convince businesses in other countries that Ireland is a good place to invest their money.
