Works on the bridge in Quin have come to a halt.

Clare County Council began construction of a footpath and traffic control measures in the village towards the end of 2014.
The plans did NOT include an upgrade of the public lighting system, however funds have since been made available.
As a result the local authority is waiting on the ESB to carry out the works before completing the footpath and other construction activity.
Works are expected to resume in mid-February.
