Chamber Groups Welcome Aspects Of Budget 2021

Groups representing Clare businesses have welcomed measures announced as part of Budget 2021.

Shannon Chamber has welcomed measures including the extension of the Pandemic Unemployment Payment and wage subsidy schemes, as well as the capital funding for Shannon Airport.

However, it says that more is needed for the aviation sector and wants a small amount of planned contingency funding to be used for the aviation sector.

Meanwhile, the President of Ennis Chamber has welcomed the reduction in the VAT rate for the hospitality sector, and further supports of up to 5,000 euro for businesses forced to close as a result of level 3 or higher restrictions.

Allen Flynn, who is also the owner of the Old Ground Hotel, says this will be a great help to many businesses.
