Chair Of Farmers Market Defends Decision To Remain In Roslevan

The Chairperson of the Farmers Market has defended the decision not to move to the new covered market in Ennis.

The new market will be officially opened by Mayor of Ennis Ann Norton at 3 o'clock this afternoon, marking the completion of Phase One of the 1.75 million euro redevelopment at Garraunakilla, the site of the Farmer's Market.

Trading will take place on Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays with up to 21 traders providing a wide range of high quality goods, while on non-trading days, the facility is available for parking.

But traders who formerly traded in the market will now remain at Roslevan and Chairperson of the Ennis Farmers Market, Andrea Casey says it was a calculated decision.
