CEO Of Shannon Group Speaks Of Challenges To Retain Major Routes at Shannon Airport

The CEO of Shannon Group claims it’s ‘two steps forward and one backwards’ in trying to retain major routes at Shannon Airport.

It comes as it’s revealed Shannon is losing out on 70,000 passengers each year following Ryanair’s decision to pull its Berlin route as well as a number of Stansted flights.

The overall number of routes at the MidWest airport has grown but it accounts for just 5.1% of the air travel market, compared with Dublin Airport’s 84.8%.
