The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has cleared Shannon-based CSG Chemical Solutions’ proposed acquisition of Cork-based Celtic Water Care Solutions.
The CCPC launched a Phase Two investigation in May to assess whether the deal would substantially reduce competition in Ireland.

However, information gathered from the companies, customers and other industry suppliers found the merger would not significantly lessen competition.
The full decision is expected to be published on the CCPC’s website within 60 working days, following the removal of confidential information.
