A cargo flight made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport last night, after the crew reported technical problems immediately after take-off.
Swiftair flight 2939, a cargo service from Shannon to Leipzig in Germany, departed at 8.45pm but the three crew on-board declared a May Day moments later.
It's understood they experienced a complete lost of cockpit instruments after take-off.
Emergency crews were placed on standby as the plane made an emergency landing, and the Boeing 737-400 landed safely about 10 minutes after departure.
