The Finance Minister is being accused of "being out of touch with reality" over the travel tax which is being blamed on the further loss of Ryanair services at Shannon Airport.
Last week the low fares carrier it was reducing its aircraft base in the Mid West to 3 and slashing 36 flights from the airport over the 10 euro levy.

The airline also warned that things could get much worse at Shannon if government policies don’t change.
