Car Stolen By Potential Buyer At Ennis Bus And Train Station Viewing

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a potential buyer stole a car for sale during a viewing at Ennis Bus and Train Station.

The owner of a black Mercedes Benz met a youg man in the car park of public transport facility last Tuesday night, March 11th, around 9.15pm to facilitate an inspection of the vehicle, having advertised it onlone.

The potential buyer subsequently stole the car, however, and was obsered driving out the Quin Road, before being spotted in Limerick just after 10pm that night.

Clare’s Crime Prevention Officer, Sergeant Catriona Holohan has described the offender as a male in his early 20’s, with short dark hair, light build and wearing a dark coloured tracksuit.

“If anyone observed this vehicle leaving the train station or along the route to Limerick from Ennis and the Quin Road, if you have CCTV or dash-cam footage, please contact Ennis Garda Station on 065 6848100,” Sergeant Holohan concluded.
