An uninsured driver has been arrested after failing a roadside drug test on the motorway in Ennis this morning.
Following a planned operation, Clare’s Roads Policing Unit stopped a Renault Fluence just before junction 12 on the M18 southbound.

The driver subsequently tested positive for cocaine and cannabis, with a blood sample taken and the vehicle seized.
The motorist will face court at a later date.
