A candlelit vigil will take place in Ennis this evening to pay tribute to victims of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The event will take place at the Height on O’Connell Street at 5pm to mark the United Nation’s International Day of Solidarity with The Palestinian People.
The vigil is being organised by the Ennis Sinn Féin Cumman, which is renewing its call for a permanent humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Local election candidate and Clarecastle resident Tommy Guilfoyle believes the people of Clare have an important role to play in ending the conflict.
