Candidates contesting this years local elections in Clare have just one week to sign up!
Nominations for the elections to Clare County Council, as well as town councils in Ennis, Shannon, Kilrush and Kilkee are being accepted from today until next Saturday at 12 noon, after which no further additons will be made to the ballot papers for June 5th.
Over 100 Clare names are expected to be registered for inclusion in the local election, and Clare County Secretary and returning officer Michael McNamara is expecting a busy week
