Irish researchers have led a study which has made a breakthrough in battling oesophogeal cancer.
Around 390 cases of the disease are diagnosed each year here, and numbers are also rising dramatically worldwide.
Dr Stephen Maher of Trinity College Dublin led the work which it's hoped will help kill off tumour cells and make radiotherapy more effective.
St James's Hospital, the Coombe and the University of Hull were also iinvolved.
