A new campaign is being launched this afternoon – warning road users about the dangers of level crossings.

It’s being launched by Iarnród Éireann and the Road Safety Authority – which says that the number of incidents and near-misses involving the crossings is on the rise.
The two bodies will launch a joint advertising campaign to remind drivers, cyclists and pedestrians of the precautions they can take to avoid injury.
