A campaign group has claimed Ennis town has been saved following a council decision to alter the county development plan.
It comes as elected representatives have approved a variation which has removed plans to build on the Ennis Post Office Field, Abbey Street and Parnell Street Car Parks.

In September 2023, a protest march saw a 3,500 signature petition opposing the plans delivered to Áras Chontae An Chláir.
Joan Duggan, who delivered the petition believes the campaign’s work is complete.
