Cameron Set To Return As British PM

David Cameron's returned to Downing Street in the last hour – after seemingly winning the UK general election.

The Conservatives are now predicted to win 328 seats, enough for a slender overall majority.

It's been a horrendous night for the Lib Dems – with virtually every high-profile MP they had, except for Nick Clegg, losing their job.

Mr Clegg's expected to make an announcement on his future as leader later.

Meanwhile, Ed Miliband's leadership of Labour is also in doubt – with the party on course for fewer than 240 seats.

An even-stronger-than-expected performance by the SNP is mainly to blame.

The Scottish Nationalists now have 56 MPs – all but wiping Labour out in Scotland, including Scottish Labour leader Jim Murphy.

In the North, the DUP has maintained the eight Westminster seats it won in 2010.
