Calls For Urgent Action On Vacant Properties To Stem Clare Homeless Crisis

Calls are growing for urgent action to be taken on vacant properties in order to tackle Clare’s homeless crisis.

A new monthly report from the Department of Housing shows that 82 adults were availing of emergency accommodation in this county at the end of February.

This means there has been a net exit of just one household from homelessness in Clare this year, while across the MidWest there are now 638 people recorded as homeless, including 163 children.
