Renewed calls have been made for the removal of “unsightly” scaffolding from a graveyard in Scarriff.
Due to safety risks associated with the church ruins at the Old Moynoe Burial Ground, scaffolding was erected around the structure in March 2022 as a temporary measure but no further works have taken place on the site since.

Whitegate Councillor Pat Burke has asked the local authority to provide an update on the works with a view to removing the scaffolding.
Fine Gael Councillor Burke says the current condition of Moynoe Cemetery hinders the experience of visitors to the graveyard.
