The CEO of a prominent Clare nursing home is calling for transparent funding structures to support the elderly at various stages throughout their lives.
It comes as new figures from the Census show the rate of increase of Clare’s elderly population is higher than the national average.

The figures, which have been compiled by the CSO, also show that younger people here are flocking towards larger urban centres, with the average age of people in the county’s less populated areas now two years higher than in towns.
