There are calls for more signage to be erected on the Kilrush to Kilkee Road to make it safe for cyclists.
It follows an accident involving a cyclist in her 50s and a car yesterday, which resulted in her being airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The West Clare Cycling Club claims it’s a treacherous stretch of road.
