Clare’s Independent TD has called on the Minister for Health to expand the role of Ennis General Hospital.
Michael McNamara has urged Simon Harris to increase the level of service in the county hospital, and in the region’s other smaller hospitals, to help avoid overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick.
UHL has frequently been the most overcrowded hospital in the country and the Scarriff TD says social distancing will be impossible if large numbers of patients are left waiting for care.
