Calls For Reverse Of Cuts To Newmarket-On-Fergus Organisation

The Minister for Social Protection, and likely next Taoiseach, is being urged to reverse cuts to a key community organisation in Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Obair provides services including Meals on Wheels and a creche, and last year had a total of 20 staff.

This year, however, that’s been cut by 5 under cuts announced to the Community Services Programme by Minister Leo Varadkar.
