The HSE and HIQA are being called on to move quickly to resolve issues surrounding St Joseph’s Hospital in Ennis.
The Health and Quality Authority has ordered the facility in Lifford not to take further admissions, following an inspection but that has not yet come into effect because of an appeal process.
What exactly has prompted HIQA to make their decision is not yet clear but the health watchdog has previously raised concerns about standards there.
