Calls have been made for more public seating to be provided at a number of locations around Ennis.
Councillor Johnny Flynn has put forward a motion at the Ennis Municipal District meeting calling for additional seating in areas such as Tim Smythe Park, John O’Sullivan Park, and large green areas such as Ivy hill.

The council intends to provide three benches for Tim Smyth Park, but says there are a number of public seating options available in the other locations.
Fine Gael Councillor Flynn says it’s important that as more people utilise the green spaces of the town, a place to rest is provided.
