Calls For Priority Parking Enforcement In Ennis

Clare County Council is being called upon to dish out penalties for drivers who abuse priority parking bays in Clare.

There are 52 spaces in this county which are intended for the use of older people and those with reduced mobility to ensure ease of access to town and village centres.

The bays are marked with double ‘P’ lettering in highlighted paint , but as there’s no permit system for priority bays, their use depends entirely on a de-facto honour system between motorists.
