It’s claimed one of the most beautiful locations to live in South-East Clare is being tarnished by constant illegal dumping.
It’s after another major incident of fly tipping at Woodcock Hill Road in Meelick last week, in which several mattresses, a cot, household furniture and kennels were discarded.

The ongoing issue has created a safety hazard along the narrow stretch of road and its believed locally, the perpetrators are bogus waste collectors operating at dark.
Ardnacrusha Fianna Fáil Councillor Elect Rachel Hartigan says while the roll-out of CCTV must be expedited, people need to ensure they’re hiring reputable companies to do the job.
