The Environment Minister is being urged to extend the waiver on the household charge to help more struggling Clare homeowners- before they have to face into a property tax-due to be introduced next July.

Recent surveys have shown that up to 14 per cent of those with mortgages are in arrears of at least 3 months, and some Ennis Councillors have expressed hopes that these people will be aided by Minister Phill Hogan.
They want the Minister to grant a financial repreieve to people who are out of work, or are struggling to pay their mortgages.
