Clare County Council is being urged to hold talks with the head of policing locally, in order to stamp out illegal parking at the county’s seaside resorts.
Local representatives throughout the county say parking bye-laws at beaches need to be enforced in order to ensure that locals and tourists alike can gain access.

They’re calling on Council officials to liaise with Gardai to ensure this occurs, particularly during the busy summer period.
North Clare Councillor Richard Nagle says it’s a significant problem in many parts of the county.
