Clare County Council is being called on to fast track the planning process for the re-development of the Shannon Free Zone.

Shannon Commerical Properties aims to carry out a 21 million euro revamp of the site, involving both the construction of new buildings and the renovation of others, and are expected to submit a planning application in the coming weeks.
Outgoing TD Joe Carey says the proposed expansion will attract new industry and employment that will benefit the whole of County Clare.
