Calls For Joined-Up Approach In Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour By Boy Racers

Calls have been made for a joined-up approach between the local authority and Gardaí to stamp out anti-social behaviour by boy racers in this county.

Councillor Pat Hayes says there’s growing concern over the frequency of cars doing donuts on our roads and speeding, particularly in the Ennis, Barefield and Crusheen areas.

Clare County Council’s Road Safety Officer has been liaising with Gardaí in an effort to get to the bottom of the issue, which has seen a resurgence in recent times across the county.

But Fianna Fáil Councillor Hayes fears that if progress isn’t made, there could be very serious consequences:
