Clare County Council is being urged to be more transparent about where public money is being spent.
Shannon Independent Councillor Gerry Flynn insists anything that is purchased or developed using public funds should be carried out in consultation with tax payers.

Head of Finance at the local authority Niall Barrett says many reviews are undertaken on all of the financial projects of the council.
