Calls On HSE To Outline Clear Timeline For Construction Of New Facility To Replace St Joseph’s

The HSE is being called on to outline a clear timeline for the construction of a new facility to replace St Joseph’s Hospital.

It follows the publication of a HIQA report, which detailed how an inspection carried out in March found that some residents “went a period of months” without a shower due to efforts to contain a COVID-19 spread at the Ennis facility.

The HSE has apologised to residents and their families and has today confirmed that an inquiry it has commissioned into practices thereĀ is being carried out on an independent basis.
