Clare’s Aontú representative is calling for more supports to help people return to work at a manageable pace.
It comes as new Department of Social Protection figures show more than 6,300 people nationally have been receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance for over 10 years.

Aontú says the social welfare system should continue to provide a safety net, while also supporting and encouraging those who are able to return to employment.
