It's claimed West Clare should be given special consideration when it comes to handing out Council funds.

It comes after Councillors have approved a draft budget of over 276,000 euro to be spent in the West Clare municipal area in the coming year.
A full council meeting will take place this month to debate how the Council funds are divided among various services and infrastructure.
However, former Mayor of Clare and Independent Miltown Malbay Councillor Christy Curtin insists North and West Clare has a special case.
