A recent spate of aggrevated robberies and smash and grab style break-ins prompted Ennis Chamber of Commerce to meet with Gardaí in recent days.
There, it was agreed that new supports would be put in place to assist businesspeople liaise with Gardaí, while there are also calls for a new Joint Policing Committee to be set-up in the town.
Gardaí have made arrests in light of the recent crimes, which President of Ennis Chamber of Commerce Paddy Darmody says did worry a lot of people.
