Clare’s Aontú representative is calling for a permanent local breast screening service to protect women’s health and support early detection, saying moving mobile units between counties is not a solution.
It comes as the HSE has confirmed the mobile BreastCheck screening service is not being withdrawn from Clare tomorrow, but is being temporarily redeployed.

More than 5,000 people have signed a petition calling for immediate action, and Kilmurry McMahon based Aontú representative, June Dillon insists distance must not become a barrier to early detection.
