Calls For Greater Garda Presence In Ennis To Tackle Feud-Related Crime

It’s claimed “Garda visibility in the streets of Ennis is a must” when it comes to tackling feud-related crime in the town.

Violent scenes in the county town on Christmas day made national headlines as footage emerged of dangerous driving on the Mill Road.

Following the incident, which is understood to be related to an ongoing feud between families, two vehicles were seized by the Gardaí for technical examination.

Ennis Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat Daly believes a Garda crackdown similar to what was seen in Limerick at the height of gangland feuding in the early 2000s is needed in Clare’s county town.
