Clare IFA says newly announced funding for farmers in flood-hit areas must cover all losses incurred over the past number of weeks.

The Emergency Flood Damage Relief scheme will provide financial assistance to cover uninsured costs from livestock being lost to the floods.
Assistance will also be provided to cover the rental costs incurred where livestock had to be moved off farms and into alternative premises due to potential welfare issues.
IFA County Chairman Andrew Dundas says there's been short, as well as longterm, damage caused across Clare.
