Concerns about poor visibility along rural roads were raised at Clare County Council, and the need to remind landowners of their responsibilities to cut their own hedgerows was stressed.
The council says it’s not in a position to carry out the work due to reduced funding, but agreed to consider an awareness campaign to involve local landowners when hedgecutting is permitted again from September to February.
