There are calls for more new social housing schemes to be spread throughout West Clare as a matter of urgency.
It comes as over 400 households in the region are awaiting an offer of social housing from the local authority.
There are currently plans to construct 17 social honmes in Kilrush by 2025, with a further 61 units due to come on stream between Kilkee, Doonbeg and Kilrush during 2026.
